PG and VG, Briefly

The ratio on the bottle tells you most of what you need to know.

Higher PG carries flavor sharply and gives a firmer throat hit, and suits smaller pod devices with higher-ohm coils. Higher VG is thicker and produces more vapor, and suits sub-ohm tanks on a mod. A 70/30 VG/PG blend is the common middle ground.

Choosing a Nicotine Strength

Match it to your device, not just your habit.

Freebase nicotine in the 3mg to 6mg range is typical for sub-ohm setups, where you inhale a lot of vapor per puff. Higher strengths in that range can feel harsh on a big device. If you want 25mg or above, you want nic salts and a pod system.

Bottle Sizes and Value

Larger bottles cost less per millilitre.

A 60ml or 120ml bottle of a flavor you already know is the cheaper way to buy. Smaller bottles make more sense when you are still working out what you like.

Storing It Properly

Cool, dark, sealed.

Heat and sunlight break flavor down and darken the liquid over time. A cupboard is fine. Keep every bottle out of reach of children and pets.
