Why Choose a Pod System?

It is the least demanding refillable setup.

No wattage to set, no airflow to dial in, no separate battery to buy. Charge it by USB-C, fill the pod, and vape. For most people coming off disposables it is the closest match in feel.

Closed or Open Pods?

The difference is whether you fill it yourself.

Open pods are refillable from a bottle, which means any flavor you like and a much lower cost per millilitre. Closed pods come pre-filled and are swapped whole, which is more convenient but limits you to what is available.

Pairing It with Juice

Pod systems want nic salts.

Low-power devices with higher-ohm coils are designed for salt e-liquid at 25mg to 50mg. Freebase juice at 3mg in a pod will feel weak and unsatisfying, which is the most common early mistake.

What to Expect

A tight draw and modest vapor.

Pods are built for mouth-to-lung inhaling, the same motion as a cigarette. Vapor output is deliberately smaller than a sub-ohm mod. Flavor, by contrast, is often more concentrated.

Pod and Coil Life

Plan on one to two weeks.

Replaceable-coil pods let you change just the coil, which is cheaper. Whole-pod systems are replaced entirely. Either way, a burnt taste means it is done rather than something to push through.
